Lovebreakers

Mike Ness heard LOVEBREAKERS first record ‘Primary Colours’ & reached out to the band asking them to open up for Social Distortion on their 2022 EU/UK tour. He could hear something similar to Social Distortion, something that wasn’t straight up, shouty, un-melodic, punk rock nonsense, instead he heard melody & craftsmanship in the songs. He could hear that the music was well thought out & had an undercurrent of americana, intertwining nicely with punk rock. It was different, but universal sounding at the same time. This was the appeal & why LOVEBREAKERS garnered a growing following off the back of the Social Distortion tour. The punks loved it, the americana-heads loved it & their kids loved it too.

This craftmanship has continued nicely into the bands second record, ‘Wonder’, due for an early 2024 release through Gunner Records. Recorded in London with Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter) & mixed by double grammy award winner, Chris Dugan (Green Day, Iggy Pop).

Wonder was written during the pandemic, but oozes positivity & shows a real growth in the bands songwriting abilities. There’s powerpop, anthemic indie rock,americana, spaghetti western & garage punk, spanning across 12 songs.
